Roundtable on Encryption, September 3rd, 5:00 PM-6:30 PM

India is witnessing its own internal tussle between law enforcement, the private sector, and civil society regarding the governments increasing demands to get access to encrypted communication.

In an attempt to arrive at a logical conclusion of this tussle, we are conducting a roundtable to discuss two pertinent issues:

Round 1: Individual Liberty vs. National Security vis-a-vis Encryption Debate

Round 2: Addressing Conflicting Regulations on Encryption at International Level

The roundtable is scheduled to be held on September 3, 2020 from 5:00P.M. to 6:30 P.M. IST.

We will be following Chatham House Rules in order to further broaden the scope of the discussions.
