Following leakage of private pictures of Digvijay Singh and Amrita Rai on social media, an FIR was filed by Rai alleging that her email accounts were hacked and pictures were made public with an intention to outrage her modesty. Consequently a case under Sections 509 IPC (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of woman) was registered by the Delhi police who has also sent take down orders to social websites asking them to remove the said pictures.
