On 18th February, 2014 a man in Jaipur was booked and arrested under section 292 of the IPC (punishment for carrying pornographic material) and Section 66A of the IT Act for saving porn clips in his phone.
While the police was patrolling a Sanganer locality, the accused Sunil Kumar came in his car and was asked to stop at a point. While he was asked to show the registration papers of his vehicle, he started arguing. Later he opened his phone and started recording, upon which the police snatched his phone and found pornographic material in it.
According to the Police, “since he has also received and sent such stuff through his cellphone, we have also added section 66-A of the IT Act.” He was later on released on bail.
