5. Donations
Donations to SFLC.in is only available to, and may only be used by, individuals who have attained the age of majority i.e., 18 (eighteen) years of age as per the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Those who are under 18 (eighteen) years of age may make donations only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian shall be responsible for the donations of the minor, in such an event.
By making a donation, you further acknowledge and agree that your donation made to SFLC.in is by virtue of your sole discretion. Donations that have been processed in favor of SFLC.in successfully through the payment gateway will not be refunded except as mentioned in Clause 6. Users are requested to exercise due diligence and carefully peruse the details at the time of making payment.
6. Refund and Cancellation of Donations
SFLC.in has instituted a refund policy for donations and a cancellation policy for recurring donations to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests in genuine cases. SFLC.in recognizes that users may make donations erroneously, or may change their mind.
SFLC.in will examine the requests for refund of donations and requests for cancellation of recurring donations before processing them. SFLC.in at its sole discretion reserves its right to deny the requests. SFLC.in may also seek a detailed explanation and reasons from the user making the request. For this purpose, SFLC.in may further require verification of the user and documentary proof of the donation.
In case you wish to place a request for a refund of donations, write to us at [mail@sflc.in]. Any request for refund must be made WITHIN 7 (SEVEN) DAYS from the date of payment of donation. All requests for refund must mandatorily mention details of payment such as date of donation, amount of donation, mode of donation, (Demand Draft, Cheque, Credit Card or Debit Card or UPI, or Internet Banking), transaction ID, and the details of the account through with Donation was made. The process for refund may take 7 – 21 working days depending on the availability of information from third parties such as Payment Gateways, Banks, etc.
In case you wish to place a request for the cancellation of recurring donations, write to us at [mail@sflc.in]. All requests for cancellation of recurring donations must mandatorily mention details of payment methods, amount of donation, time period of a recurring donation, exact date from which the donation is to be canceled, and details of the account through which the donation is made. The process for cancellation may take 7 – 21 working days depending on the availability of information from third parties such as Payment Gateways, Banks, etc.
7. Governing law and Jurisdiction
You agree that your use of the website, any information downloaded from it, and the operation of these Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of India and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi in relation to any action, proceeding, claim, dispute or difference arising out of your use of our website or otherwise in connection with our website.
