Stringent regulations could hinder growth of AI in India: experts

Mishi Choudhary, founder of SFLC.in, spoke with The Hindu. She discussed the state of artificial intelligence (#AI) regulation and the dearth of regulations specifically addressing generative AI, such as #deepfakes in India. She suggested that the government “should be ready to update existing laws to protect public interest and [guard against] future harm associated with the #technology.” She also underlined that “it must be dynamic to ensure AI principles are embedded in the organisations deploying AI systems” regarding the regulation of AI.
