On 17 March, 2024, The OpenStreetMap (OSM) Delhi Team hosted a Mapping Party at SFLC.in’s office in New Delhi. The event focused on remote mapping, also known as “armchair” mapping, emphasizing the use of laptops and mouse.
Attendees had the opportunity to actively engage in updating the OpenStreetMap, exchange knowledge with the Delhi OSM community, and discover transparent alternatives to mainstream mapping platforms while ensuring their privacy by using beginner-friendly web editors.
The OpenStreetMap (OSM) Delhi Mapping highlighted meaningful discussions on the significance of open-mapping initiatives, promoting privacy and community-driven initiatives.
