Four individuals, including RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and school governing body members, were charged under IPC Sections 295A (deliberate intent to outrage religious feelings) and 298 (uttering words to wound religious sentiments) in December 2019. Authorities alleged the re-enactment inflamed religious tensions, while critics argued it targeted minority sentiments. The charges underscored legal scrutiny of actions potentially inciting communal discord.
