2016 JNU Sedition Case

In the 2016 JNU sedition case involving alleged anti-India slogans during an event commemorating Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, the Delhi Police filed a second chargesheet after the first was rejected due to lack of government sanction under Section 196 CrPC. The court has now taken cognizance of this fresh chargesheet, which includes charges of sedition, unlawful assembly, and rioting. The accused have been summoned to appear on 15 March 2021.
