Communications Manager

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing strategic communications leadership and community engagement to support SFLC.in and advance the mission of digital freedoms in India.

 

Responsibilities and duties:

  1. Responsible for actively expanding SFLC.in’s mission while working with cross-functional teams to create content, build editorial calendars, and drive public engagement
  2. Supervise relationships with media to secure placements for SFLC.in campaigns in top local, regional, national, and international media;
  3. Develop a long-range strategic communications plan to improve and sustain SFLC.in’s mission.
  4. Develop strategies for social media channels
  5. Create, source, and plan for engaging content and manage partnerships
  6. Cultivate and maintain successful relationships with other communities, organisations and stakeholders to advance our work

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s/Masters degree in mass communication/journalism/media studies or similar fields.
  2. 3+ years of experience
  3. Proficiency in social media platforms.
  4. Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  6. Passion for technology and experience with Free and Open Source Software
