A software engineer was arrested by the Mulund police in Mumbai after his employer lodged a complaint against him for hacking and sending offensive messages. Charges against the engineer include section 509 of the IPC( acts intended to injure modesty of a woman); Section 66, 66A, 66C and 67 of the IT Act. Identified as Dinesh Belakare, the accused told the Mulund police that he had committed the offence due to frustration following a spat between him and his employer who had recently sacked him from the job.
