The research focuses on AI and ethics through a deep interdisciplinary appreciation of the contexts and cultures of governing AI. A number of disciplines, fields and sub-fields of knowledge – including computer science, critical theory, development studies, governance theory, historical analysis, impact evaluation, institutional design, law and society, philosophy, regulation, science and technology studies, etc. are invoked to enable an appropriately-nuanced background interpretive perspective.
